Some systems may be fitted with an EC or ECM Electro-commutated motor, which help to increase the efficiency of the motor, these are Domel brand Motors.
Standard induction motors on EFV-250 and EFV-315 will usually spin an exodraft motor while the larger EFV-400 and EFV-450 will spin a proprietary ABB Motor.

Discontinued motors and parts
Before 2009, the manufacturer updated some motors with a thicker shaft and larger bore for the matching wheel.
With the affected motor shaft upgraded from 14 mm (1/2″) to 19 mm (3/4″), check that the housing measurements, axial/impeller fit, and insert/impeller seat match the replacement parts above.
