Fan Identification
ID an Enervex fan by the first 6 alpha-numeric digits located on the tag.
IE… This fan is an Enervex GSV012 or GSV 12.
Below are Fan Housing Specs to ID RSV and GSV Fans

How to ID a fan with no tag or ID Plate
The ID tag, usually located on the top plate for GSV/RSV fans, can become illegible from age or after a high heat event.
To determine the correct Enervex fan model and size… confirm if it has an axial vane or backward curved impeller… and reference a few housing measurements against an Enervex fan spec chart.
This fan (left) was off a pizza oven from a restaurant.
***** Commercial kitchen would require a GSV series fan.
***** Axial vane would narrow it to 1 of 4 fans… GSV009 thru GSV016.
***** 15″ measured off the housing makes this a GSV012
The clam shell measurement of about 15″ was used against the fan model chart located below
B x B chart measurement of 15.37″ for an AXIAL VANE fan confirmed this to be a GSV012

Is it a GSV315 or an RSV315?
Before 2009 Enervex ( Exhausto / Exodraft ) upgraded the V4 Motors from a 17mm ( 1/2″ ) Shaft to a 19mm ( 3/4 ) Shaft…
If you are replacing an older 17mm V4 Motor you may also need to replace the Axial Vane or Impeller
The 1200795 V4 Motor is used for both GSV315 and RSV315… but use different Impellers

If the ID tag on the fan housing is unreadable or missing… how do I know if its an RSV315 or GSV315?
Measure the Impeller Seat and the Fan Housing.
The Impeller Seat for the RSV315 is removable and replaceable… In Stock.
The Impeller Seat for the GSV315 is part of the lower housing and not removable..

The spinny thing ain’t an impeller?
If the V4 Motor is driving an Axial Vane.. the fan model should be the GSV16 or RSV16.
The GSV016 and RSV016 use the same Housing, Axial Vane, Cooling Vane and Inlet for Axial Vane.
